Migration from Kaspersky Anti-Spam 3.0 to Kaspersky Security 8.0 for Linux Mail Server

To migrate from Kaspersky Anti-Spam 3.0  to Kaspersky Security 8.0 for Linux Mail Server :

 Please note that it is NOT possible to transfer the configuration and the settings from Kaspersky Anti-Spam 3.0 to Kaspersky Security 8.0 for Linux Mail Server. 

  1. Make sure that your server and operating system meet the system requirements of Kaspersky Security 8.0 for Linux Mail Server. Update the operating system and/or server configuration, if needed. 
  2. Uninstall Kaspersky Anti-Spam 3.0 ( please note that all settings of Kaspersky Anti-Spam 3.0 will be lost):
    • # rpm -e kas-3-3.0.284-1 (for distributions that use RPM packages)
    • # dpkg -P kas-3 (for distributions that use DEB packages)
    • # pkg_delete kas-3-3.0.284_1 (for FreeBSD)
  3. Install Kaspersky Security 8.0 for Linux Mail Server , as described in this article.
  4. Add a license for Kaspersky Anti-Spam 3.0  to Kaspersky Security 8.0 for Linux Mail Server , as described in this article.

     Please note that the license for Kaspersky Anti-Spam 3.0 activates only the Anti-Spam and Content Filter modules.
