A new key file is incompatible or functions incorrectly with earlier versions of Kaspersky Anti-Virus. That is why before you distribute a key file of a new type, update installed applications:

  • if Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 version 8.1.0.646 is installed, then in order to install a new key file, update the program to Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 version 8.1.0.1042 ;
  • if Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 version 8.1.0.831 (without autopatch b) is installed, then in order to install a new key file, update the program to Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 version 8.1.0.1042 ;
  • if Kaspersky Anti-Virus version 6.0.4.1424 is installed, then for the activation data to be transferred to Administration Server correctly, install patch t to workstations / file servers;
  • if Kaspersky Anti-Virus version 6.0.4.1611 is installed, then for the activation data to be transferred to Administration Server correctly, install patch l on workstations / file servers.
