Deploying OS images on target computers is performed within a standard remote installation task.
To deploy an OS image, do the following:
After the reboot, computer is started under WinPE.
The installed utilities deploy the OS image.
With PXE server, an OS image can be deployed on any computer if its network card and BIOS support booting under the PXE environment.
Any computer with Administration Agent installed can be used as a PXE server. Server is allocated manually in the Deploying computer images container through Administration Console.
PXE and DHCP servers use same ports (67 and 68), that is why they should not be used on the same computer, and there must be no other PXE servers in one broadcast segment.
Computer receives the information about the PXE server in its network segment through the DHCP protocol. To boot the computer, WinPE is sent from the PXE server.
