In some cases Dropbox may be unable to connect to its cloud storage due to incompatibility with Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 Critical Fix 2.
To fix the problem, add Dropbox to the list of trusted applications of Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 CF2.
To add Dropbox to the list of trusted applications in Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 CF2, do the following:
Open the interface of Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 CF2.
Open the tab Settings -> Anti-Virus protection and click the Settings button in Exclusions and trusted applications section.
In the Trusted zone window, go to the Trusted applications tab.
Click Add -> Applications.
In the Select application window, expand the Dropbox, Inc list.
Select the executable file under the name Dropbox and click OK.
In the Exclusions for application window, select the Do not scan network traffic check box and click ОK.
To add Dropbox to the list of trusted applications via Kaspersky Security Center, do the following:
Open the Administration console of Kaspersky Security Center.
Select the group of managed computers that contains workstations for which the exclusion for Dropbox should be applied.
Go to the Policies tab and open the protection policy for Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8.
Go to the General Protection Settings container and click Settings in the Exclusions and trusted applications section.
In the Trusted zone window, go to the Trusted applications tab and click Add.
In the Exclusion for application window, specify the path to Dropbox: %APPDATA%\Dropbox\bin\Dropbox.exe. Select the Do not scan network traffic check box and click OK.
Wait until the policy is applied on client computers.
