When you upgrade Windows 7 / 8 / 8.1 to Windows 10 on the computer with Kaspersky Small Office Security 5 for Personal Computer installed, or install the application on Windows 10, Kaspersky Total Security will run the adaptation process at first startup. Protection will be stopped for a while: only File anti-virus and the self-defense of files and registry keys will work, the user interface will be unavailable.

After the adaptation process has been completed, operation of some of the product components may be partially restricted in case the drivers do not support Windows 10:

  • Self-Defense in the UI protection and process startup part of it.
  • System Watcher.
  • Detection and disinfection of malicious software in system memory.
  • Protection against cryptoviruses and screen lockers.
  • Safe Money is limited in clipboard protection, protection against screenshots, and protection of the browser against external attacks.
  • Application Control is limited in applying customer settings for some applications, categorizing new Windows style applications, and Edge web browser protection.
  • Trusted Applications mode is limited in connection with Windows Program Data Updater service.
  • Protection against Time-of-Check Time-of-Use (TOCTOU) attacks.
Kaspersky Protection and On-Screen Keyboard in Kasparsky Lab apps do not support Microsoft’s Edge browser.
