If Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2017 is installed on a computer with a third-party firewall, the following issues may appear:
  • Inbound and outbound emails blocked
  • Web pages load incorrectly or fail to load.
  • Internet connection drops within a short time after being established.

The reason is that Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2017 works in server mode. It establishes network connections by itself and intercepts network traffic in order to scan it. Besides, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2017 scans default network ports of popular applications.

To eliminate the problem, create permissive rules for the AVP.EXE process.
  • If your firewall has a training mode, enable it. Next time AVP.EXE attempts to establish a connection, the firewall will inform you about it. Allow any network activity to AVP.EXE.
  • If the firewall you are using does not have a training mode, create permissive rules for AVP.EXE manually.

If after the permissive rules have been set, the application you need to work with still informs you about the Internet not working properly, find the application and port in the interface of the third-party port it uses to create a permissive rule for it.
