Administrator permissions installing Kaspersky Security 3.0 on VMware hypervisors

To deploy a VM and modify its settings, you need Administator account with the following permissions:

  • Global.Licenses.
  • Datastore.AllocateSpace.
  • Datastore.RemoveFile.
  • VApp.Import.
  • Network.Assign.
  • Host.Config.AutoStart.
  • Task.Create.
  • Global.CancelTask.
  • VirtualMachine.Inventory.Create.
  • VirtualMachine.Inventory.Remove.
  • VirtualMachine.Config.AddOrRemoveDevice.
  • VirtualMachine.Config.AddNewDisk.
  • VirtualMachine.Interact.PowerOn.
  • VirtualMachine.Interact.PowerOff.
  • Host.Inventory.EditCluster.
  • VirtualMachine.Provisioning.Customize.
  • Datastore.FileManagement (Low level file operations).
The permissions mast be granted to the accounts at the highest VMware object management level, that is at the level of VMware vCenter.
