Support of Microsoft Windows 10 Anniversary Update (Redstone1):

  • The following management privileges in Activation Privilege Control are not available (Application Control Rules tab → Rights):
    x86
    • Pausing other processes and threads.
    • Сode intrusion.
    x86/x64
    • Using programming interfaces of the other application.
    • Hooks installation.
    • Create service.
    • Open service for read.
    • Open service for write.
    • Modify service configuration.
    • Using command line of browser.
  • Device Guard mode is not supported.
  • Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) is not supported.

Support of Microsoft Windows Server 2016:

  • Limited support of the ReFS file system, Server Core, Server Nano and Cluster Mode configurations are not supported.
  • The Device Guard mode is not supported.
  • Before installing Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 Service Pack 1 Maintenance Release 3 on Microsoft Windows Server 2016, you must remove Windows Defender.

Limitations of upgrade to Microsoft Windows 10 Anniversary Update (Redstone1) on computers with Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 Service Pack 1 Maintenance Release 3 installed:

  • Only upgrading from Windows 10 and Windows 10 TH2 is supported. Updating from earlier versions of Windows on computers with Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 Service Pack 1 Maintenance Release 3 is not supported by the product.
  • If file encryption components  (FLE and/or FDE)  or the Device Manager component are installed on the computer, the application will be automatically restored after the upgrade to Microsoft Windows 10 Anniversary Update (Redstone1). If the application has not been restored automatically, it is necessary to restart it manually.
  • After installing Microsoft Windows 10 Anniversary Update (Redstone1), the Firewall component is enabled on the computer, but it will only be registered in the Windows Security settings as enabled after the application restart.
  • If after installing Microsoft Windows 10 Anniversary Update (Redstone1) the application does not recognize the activation code, it should be restarted.
  • To update the computer with the files encrypted with FDE, run the operating system upgrade with the key /reflectdrivers:
    setup.exe /reflectdrivers <path to the folder where cm_km, klfde, and klfdedmp drivers are located>
    Before running the upgrade process, create a folder and copy the following files into it: cm_km.inf, cm_km.sys, klfde.cat, klfde.inf, klfde.sys, klfdedmp.cat, klfdedmp.inf, klfdedmp.sys.
