When your computer is booted from Rescue disk, you can define one or several of the following parameters in the boot: command prompt:
  • rescue – default kernel configuration. Does not contain any specific boot parameters.
  • rescue-safe – boot kernel configuration without X Window System (graphic window system of Rescue Disk) and the product.
  • rescue-trace – boot kernel configuration with the product trace.
  • rescue-text – kernel configuration for running in the mode iAMT.

All the kernel configurations (except rescue) contain the following parameters:

  • nox – do not boot X Window System (graphic window system of Rescue Disk
  • trace – enable product trace
  • kavshell – activate test mode of the product

The rescue-safe boot kernel configuration contains the following parameters:

  • nox – do not boot X Window System (graphic window system of Rescue Disk
  • trace – enable product trace

The rescue-trace boot kernel configuration contains the following parameter:

  • trace – enable the product trace

The rescue-text kernel configuration contains the following boot parameters:

  • nox – do not boot X Window System (graphic window system of Rescue Disk
  • trace – enable product trace
  • kavshell – activate test mode of the product

For example, you need to enable tracing of the product work, in this case it is enough to enter configuration rescue-trace in the boot string.
