Possible problem during installation of a Kaspersky Lab product due to installed Kensington MouseWorks software

If you have Kensington MouseWorks installed on your computer, then the installation process of a Kaspersky Lab product can fail with an error.

In order to eliminate the problem, perform the following actions:

  1. Cancel the installation of a Kaspersky Lab product.
  2. Uninstall Kensington MouseWorks software:
    • For users of Windows XP.
    • For users of Windows Vista.
    • For users of Windows 7.
    • For users of Windows 8:
      • On the start screen right-click free space.
      • On the panel that appears at the bottom of the screen click the All apps button.

      • In the Apps list find the necessary software and right-click it.
      • On the pop-up panel click Uninstall.

      • In the Programs and Features window select the program you want to uninstall.
      • Double-click the program name.
      • The uninstallation process will start.
  1. After uninstallation, reboot your computer.
  2. Run the installation of a Kaspersky Lab product.
  3. After the installation is completed, if desired, reinstall Kensington MouseWorks.
