Applies to Kaspersky Administration Kit 8.0

Kaspersky Administration Kit 8.0 allows an administrator to perform a search for a particular computer(s) in administration groups or unassigned computers. The search area is determined according to the node you open the search engine from.

  • to find a computer belonging to an administration group – use the command Search from the contextual menu of the node Managed computers;

  • to find a computer not assigned to an administration group – use the command Search from the contextual menu of the node Unassigned computers;

  • to find a computer when you do not know its location – use the command Search from the contextual menu of the node Administration server - <Server_name>. The search will go through administration groups and the node Unassigned computers.

Computer search options are arranged in tabs. Use the corresponding arrow buttons to scroll the tabs.

You can use the following options for filtering computers:

  • a specific computer name or name mask;

    InformationYou should type in computer names in capital letters! This requirement is related to database architecture (it does not always recognize lowercase letters). Fo example, you should use SERVER for a computer named Server.
    Use the symbol of asterisk (*) to search for computers with similar names and “clones”.

  • location in a specific domain/organizational unit in Active Directory;

  • specific IP address or IP address range;

  • a computer is an Update Agent (Yes/No);

  • c computer maintains uninterrupted connection to the Administration server (enabled/disabled option Do not disconnect from the Administration server);

  • a computer is connected to the Administration server through a connection profile (Yes/No);

  • specific time range of the last connection to Administration server;

  • specific Kaspersky Lab software installed on a computer (the list contains only the applications for which the Console has Control Plug-ins). It is possible to specify a build number or a critical fix version.

  • specific time range of the last module update;

  • operating system version;

  • specific computer status (OK/Warning/Critical) and condition, real-time protection status;

    InformationDo not forget that the list of possible real-time protection statuses does not coincide in different versions of Kaspersky Anti-Virus.
  • specific time range of the last virus scan;

  • specific release time range of the known threats databases installed on a computer;

  • quantity of found viruses;

  • specific application installed on a computer (the list contains only the applications installed on the computer with running Console);

  • software of a specific vendor installed;

  • third-party antivirus software (other than Kaspersky Lab) installed.

If you want the search to encompass slave Servers as well, check the box Include data from slave Servers on the tab Administration Servers hierarchy and set the level of slave Servers.
