In order for Kaspersky Rescue Disk 8 to be able to update from a database folder created by the Updater utility, it is necessary to include the components KDB and UPDATER into downloads in the updater utility configuration file:
For the utility Updaterparameter component in the file ss_storage.ini;
For the utility retranslatorparameter RetranslateComponentsList in the file retranslator.conf.No additional configuration of the utility is required if you select any of the aforementioned applications in the Updater utility (for Windows) GUI. You can then update Kaspersky Rescue Disk 8 antivirus databases from the existing updater utility folder.In order to update Kaspersky Rescue Disk 8 antivirus databases, you should specify the updates folder path (on a hard disk or a removable drive) as the update source in its GUI, click OK and start an update process:
