How to migrate from Kaspersky Mobile Security 8.0 to Kaspersky Mobile Security 9.0?

  • Kaspersky Mobile Security 8.0 (for Windows Mobile 5.0/6.0/6.1/6.5)
  • Kaspersky Mobile Security 9.0 (for Symbian-smartphones series 60 UI)
  • Kaspersky Mobile Security 9.0 (for Windows Mobile 5.0/6.0/6.1/6.5)
  • If you have a valid license for Kaspersky Mobile Security 8.0, then migration to Kaspersky Mobile Security 9.0 is free. Activation codes for the version 8.0 are compatible with the version 9.0.

    If the license for Kaspersky Mobile Security 8.0 has expired, you should purchase license renewal for Kaspersky Mobile Security 9.0 with a discount in License Renewal Center or by Kaspersky Lab’s partners.

    In order to migrate to Kaspersky Mobile Security 9.0, perform the following actions:

    If your mobile device runs under OS Windows Mobile:

    • make sure that you have a valid activation code for the version 8.0, which has not expired
    • close Kaspersky Mobile Security 8.0
    • copy the distributive to your mobile device:
    • run the installation of Kaspersky Mobile Security 9.0 on your mobile device
    • read carefully the License Agreement. If you accept the agreement, then press OK. If you do not accept the agreement, then press Cancel
    • confirm the uninstallation of the current version of the application by pressing the OK button
    • press Save to save the settings you used in the current version of the application. If you do not want to use the settings from the previous current version of the application, then press Delete
    • after Kaspersky Mobile Security 8.0 is uninstalled reboot your mobile device
    • install Kaspersky Mobile Security 9.0 (Windows Mobile)
    • activate the application by the valid activation code for the version 8.0.

    If your mobile device runs under OS Symbian:

    • make sure that you have a valid activation code for the version 8.0, which has not expired
    • close Kaspersky Mobile Security 8.0
    • copy the distributive to your mobile device:
    • uninstall Kaspersky Mobile Security 8.0
    • reboot your mobile device
    • install Kaspersky Mobile Security 9.0 (Symbian OS)
    • activate the application by the valid activation code for the version 8.0.
