Kaspersky Administration Kit 8.0Kaspersky Anti-Virus NDIS Filter is a driver for intercepting network packets. Its network packet interception mechanism is based on the technology NDIS Intermediate Driver. This is a method recommended by Microsoft. It provides maximum compatibility with different versions of operating systems, and other applications and drivers.
If you are unwilling to install Kaspersky Anti-Virus NDIS Filter on client computers for some reason, you can exclude the interceptor driver from Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations 6.0.4.x.
This method functions under 32 bit OSes only.
Be advised though, that the component Anti-Hacker (Firewall) will not use its packet filtration and network attack detection functions on x64 OSes. Other components are not affected. Network packet interception will remain on Windows 2000/XP x32. Besides Kaspersky Anti-Virus NDIS Filter, an older network packet interceptor (used for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0) is additionally installed on these operating systems.
In order to exclude Kaspersky Anti-Virus NDIS Filter from an installation package, you should modify the file setup.ini and place it in the installation package folder.
