Applies to Kaspersky Hosted Web Security
Quotas can be used to restrict user Internet access on a daily or weekly basis. There are 4 possible restriction parameters:
Bytes In | Downloaded traffic volume (megabytes or gigabytes) |
Bytes Out | Uploaded traffic volume (megabytes or gigabytes) |
Time | Time of using Web (minutes or hours) |
Connections | Number of Web connections for a period of time |

Quotas can be used only when using the
connector.
A combination of any of these restriction types can be used to create quotas. For example, you can set a restriction by
Bytes In and by
Time by assigning some values to
Bytes In and
Time and leaving the other two parameters
Unlimited. If a quota has several restriction types, Web access will be blocked upon reaching any one of them.
In order to create a new quota:
- click the tab Web Filtering;
- select Management > Quotas;

- open the tab Create a Quota;

- enter quota name into the field Name;
- click Add group to select a user group that will be affected by the quota;
- select a time period in the block Define quota (Daily or Weekly) and assign restriction types (Bytes In , Bytes Out, Time, Connections) with values;
- check the box Active if you want to activate the quota immediately upon creation;
- click the button Create quota.
