How to activate a trial version of Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 if Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 is installed on my computer?

From Kaspersky Lab 2011 products you can easily upgrade one Kaspersky Lab 2011 product to another. For example, if Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 is installed on your computer and you would like to add advanced features, you can upgrade the installed product to Kaspersky intenret Security 2011.

If Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 is activated by a commercial license, then once you upgrade to Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 the license for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 continues being active.

There are two methods of upgrading to Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 in Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011:

• from the Upgrade tab of the main application window
• using License link in the main application window.

Upgrading to Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 from the Upgrade tab of the main application window

In order to upgrade Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 to Kaspersky Internet Security 2011, perform the following actions:

1. open the main application window
2. in the left part of the main application window, go to the Upgrade tab
3. on the Upgrade tab, click the button Try Now
4. wait until the application is activated
5. in the Kaspersky Anti-Virus Configuration Wizard window, click the Next button
6. wait until the process is completed. Click the Finish button in the window that will inform you that Application will be restarted
7. the trial version of Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 is installed.

Upgrading to Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 using License link in the main application window

In order to upgrade the application, perform the following actions:

1. open the main application window
2. in the right lower part of the main application window, click the License link
3. in the License management window, click the button Activate the application with a new license
4. in the Kaspersky Anti-Virus Activation Wizard window, select Activate Kaspersky Internet Security trial version
5. click the Next button
6. wait until the application is activated
7. in the Kaspersky Anti-Virus Configuration Wizard window, click the Next button
8. wait until the process is completed. Click the Finish button in the window that will inform you that Application will be restarted
9. the trial version of Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 is installed.

Also you can activate a trial version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 (30 days) from the main application window of Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 by following the instructions described above.

You can also migrate from Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 to a commercial version of Kaspersky Internet Security 2011.
