In the main application window of the Kaspersky Lab products version 2011 on the Protection Center tab you can find the counter. The counter shows the real-time scan process. While you are working on your computer application scans all files, which you launch, open, save etc. The conter contains information about number of scanned files. If you run a scan task (full, quick or object scan), then counter statistics will be changing according to the results of the scan process.

The scan does not influence your computer performance.
The dialog windows for Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 are the same but with corresponding product names and the number of Protection components.
