Why at each trusted application startup a window requesting access to the network appears?

Problem: an application is added to the trusted group; however at the application startup a window pops up requesting access to the network. 

Cause: an application inherits restrictions from the parental process/ application, i.e. the status of the parental process for the application you are starting was "prompt for action" when requesting access to the network.

Resolution: 

In order to disable inheritance, perform the following actions: 

  1. in the notification window click the link with the name of the launched application
  2. in the window Rules for application on the Exclusions tab, check the box Do not inherit restrictions of the parent process (application)
  3. click OK

  1. in the notification window check the box Do not ask again
  2. select Allow (recommended). 

If you have already closed the Rules for application window and have not disabled the box Inherit restrictions of the parent process (application) for the launched application, then you can change the rules for the program in Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 interface. In order to do so, perform the following actions:

  1. open the main application window
  2. in the left part of the main application window, select Protection Center
  3. in the right upper corner of the main application window, click the Settings link
  4. in the left part of the Settings window, select Application Control
  5. in the right part of the Settings window, click the Applications button
  6. in the Applications window, double left-click the required application
  7. in the Rules for application window, go to the Exclusions tab
  8. check the box Do not inherit restrictions of the parent process (application)
  9. in the Rules for application window, click the OK button
  10. in the Applications window, click the OK button
  11. in the Settings window, click the OK button
  12. close the main application window.
