You can use the backup/restore configuration function to create a backup copy of the
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Microsoft ISA Server and Forefront TMG Standard Edition configuration. It might be useful when migrating to another hardware, for example.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Microsoft ISA Server and Forefront TMG Standard Edition saves its settings in the Microsoft ISA Server / Forefront TMG configuration files. The configuration can be also exported into a separate
.xml file.
A backup copy saves the following data:
- The following configuration:
- User reports;
- Network objects and policies;
- Performance;
- The following settings:
- Diagnostics settings;
- Updates settings;
- HTTP, FTP, POP3, SMTP scan settings.
How to create a backup copy of the application configuration:
- Open Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Microsoft ISA Server and Forefront TMG Standard Edition management console;
- Right-click the node <Server_name> and select Backup configuration;
- Select a folder for the settings file in the Save As window;
- Click the Save button;
How to restore the configuration from a backup file:
- Open Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Microsoft ISA Server and Forefront TMG Standard Edition management console;
- Right-click the node <Server_name> and select Restore configuration;
- Select previously saved .xml settings file in the Open window;
- Click the Open button;
You should restart the console after restoring the configuration from a backup.
