Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Windows Servers Enterprise Edition allows generating traces and logs in case of its failure.

Troubleshooting settings can be modified in managed server properties, tab Malfunction diagnosis.



Check the box Write debug information to file and specify the following settings:

  • Folder for traces. Each process generates an individual debug file. Manually enter a full path in the format UNC (Universal Naming Convention) or select a folder using the button Browse. The folder should be located on a local disk of the protected server. Do not use folders on virtual disks created using the command SUBST and network drives. No files will be generated if you specify a non-existing folder path.

  • Level of detail. Select a desired value: Critical events, Errors, Important events, Informational events, or Debug informationDebug information is the most detailed level registering all events. While the lowest amount of details is provided on the level Critical events registering critical events only. The default level is Informational events.

  • Maximum size of trace files. Once a traces file reaches the set size limit, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Windows Servers Enterprise Edition starts writing data into a new file. Old files are stored.

  • Components to be traced. Enter desired codes of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Windows Servers Enterprise Edition subsystems using the symbol of colon (,) as a separator and observing the case. Failures of these subsystems will be monitored. By default, Kaspersky Anti-Virus registers information on all its subsystems.

Check the box Create crash dump files and specify a folder to store them, if you want dump files generated in case Kaspersky Anti-Virus process crashes.
