On September, 14th 2010 Kaspersky Lab released a new patch B for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 (version

The patch B is automatically installed once anti-virus databases of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 version are updated.

The patch eliminates the following errors:

  • errors concerning activation attempts counting in Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 with the Subscription service
  • databases downloading errors (anti-virus databases duplication).

How to install the patch B?

In order to install the patch B, perform the following actions:

  1. run the databases update process
  2. once the databases are successfully updated, restart your computer
  3. once the system starts, open the main application window
  4. in the left lower corner of the main application window, click the Support link
  5. if the patch B is successfully installed, you will see the letter b in the Application version line.

Information In some cases there may be situations when not all installed patches are displayed in the Support window (for example, after installation of the patch b the line Application version may contain only the b letter). It means that functionality of the patch a is already added to the Critical Fix 2 of Kaspersky Anti-Virus.
