You can suspend Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 for Mac at any time you need to absolutely maximise your Mac's performance. But please remember that the longer your protection is switched off the more likely your computer is to become infected and online games are a common source of malware.
In order to suspend the protection, perform the following actions:
- click the Kaspersky Lab icon in the right upper corner of your desktop
- select the item Turn Protection Off from the drop-down menu.

You can also suspend the protection perofrming the following actions:
- open the main application window
- click the Preferences button and go to the Protection tab
- uncheck Enable File Anti-Virus.
After the protection is enabled, please, run the system scan task.
