1. Activation methods 

InformationIn order to activate a trial version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 for Mac, an Internet connection must be established.

After installation of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 for Mac you can activate the program using one of the following methods:

  • Activate using activation code. You will be required to enter your activation code (e.g. XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX). You must have an established Internet connection. The activation wizard automatically downloads and installs a key file.
  • Use excisting key file. You will be asked to select a valid key file. The option can be useful, if you migrate from the previous version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Mac and have a key file saved on your computer.
  • Activate trial version. The Activation Wizard downloads and installs a key file with validity period of 30 days. Trial version is fully functional.

InformationThe Activate trial version option can be missed. It menas that trial version is already installed on your computer or it was used earlier.

Trialware activation during the program installation

In order to activate a trial version of the application, perform the following actions:

  • on the window that informs you that license is not found, click on the Activate button

  • on the Activation method window, check Activate trial version
  • click on the Continue button

  • wait until the key file is received
  • on the window Key file information you can find information that the key file is installed successfully and information about your key (numberlicense type, expiration date)
  • click on the Finish button

  • on the next dialog window with information about your license click on the Close button
  • close the main application window.
