How to start a Full Scan task in Kaspersky PURE R2?

 Scanning the computer for viruses and vulnerabilities is one of the most important tasks in ensuring the computer's security. The virus scan detects the spreading of malicious code, which has not been detected by the malware protection for some reasons. Full scan is a thorough scan of the entire system. The following objects are scanned by default:

Full scan can be started in one of the following ways:

Starting Full Scan from the main application window

In order to start the Full Scan task from the main application window, perform the following actions:

  1. open the main application window
  2. click Quick Tasks in the Computer Protection section
  3. select Run full scan from the open menu
  4. wait until the process is complete.

Starting Full Scan from the Computer Protection window

In order to start the Full Scan task from the Computer Protection window, perform the following actions:

  • open the main application window
  • click Computer Protection
  • on the window Computer Protection, select the Scan tab
  • on the right part of the window, click on the button Start Full Scan 

The information when the task was stopped or completed is displayed in the window Computer Protection. The time reference is a link which leads to the Full Scan window.

The detailed report contains the information when the Full Scan task was started, stopped or completed and the list of detected threats with the link to the threat description.

Starting Full Scan using an existing shortcut Full Scan

The full scan task can be run with the help of an existing shortcut. In order to do this, just double-click the shortcut Full Scan.

The task procedure will be displayed in the open window Full Scan and in the window Computer Protection of Kaspersky PURE R2
