How to start Quick Scan from the main application window

In order to start Quick Scan from the main application window of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 for Mac, perform the following actions:

  1. open the main application window
  2. on the right hand part of the window, click on the Virus Scan button

How to start Quick Scan from the application context menu

You can also start the Quick Scan process from the application context menu. In order to do this, perform the following actions:

  • If the Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 for Mac icon is located in the Dock, perform the following actions:
    1. find the application icon in the Dock and right-click it
    2. select Quick Scan from the context menu (the main application window will appear automatically)
    3. wait until the process is complete.

  • If the Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 for Mac icon is located on the upper Mac OS X menu, perform the following actions:
    1. find the application icon in the upper Mac OS X menu and right-click it
    2. select Quick Scan from the context menu (the main application window will appear automatically)
    3. wait until the process is complete.

How to change the location of the Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 icon?

During Quick Scan you can find the right arrow button in the main application window of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 for Mac. The button opens the Reports: Kaspersky Anti-Virus window.

During the Quick Scan process in the Reports: Kaspersky Anti-Virus window you can find the following information: start time, duration, object scanned at the moment and etc.

Once the Quick Scan process is complete, the Reports: Kaspersky Anti-Virus window will contain the following information: process start and finish time and detected threats.
