How to remove Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Smartphone from a mobile device manually

If Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Smartphone has been installed via Kaspersky Administration Kit 8 or Sybase Afaria, it can only be uninstalled manually.

If Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Smartphone has been installed using Microsoft System Center Mobile Device Manager, it can be uninstalled remotely using the System Center Mobile Device Manager Software Distribution console.

InformationBefore the removal, all the confidential data will be automatically unhidden and all the encrypted data will be decrypted on devices running Windows Mobile or Symbian. You should manually disable hiding of confidential data on Android or BlackBerry devices though.

Manual removal of Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Smartphone:

  • Android
    1. Go to the applications screen from the home screen and select Settings > Applications > Manage applications.

    2. Select Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Smartphone.

    3. Tap Delete in the About the application screen.

    4. Tap OK to confirm.

    5. Tap OK once the application has been deleted.


  • Windows Mobile
    1. Close Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Smartphone by clicking Menu > Exit;

    2. Click Start > Settings;

    3. Select Remove Programs on the System tab;

    4. Select KES8 in the list of installed applications and click Delete;

    5. Click the Yes button to confirm the removal;

    6. Enter the secret code and click OK;

    7. You can then choose to save the application settings and quarantined objects;

    8. Reboot the device to complete the removal.
  • Symbian
    1. Close Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Smartphone by going to Options > Exit;

    2. Open the device's main menu;

    3. Select the Applications > App. mgr. Folder;

    4. Select KES8 in the list of installed applications and click Options > Delete;

    5. Confirm the removal by clicking Yes;

    6. Enter the secret code and click OK;

    7. You can then choose to save the application settings and quarantined objects;

    8. Reboot the device to complete the removal.
  • BlackBerry
    1. Select the Delete Application option on the Additional tab;

    2. A confirm deletion window opens;

    3. Confirm the removal by clicking Yes;

    4. Reboot the device to complete the removal.
