Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Storage can be installed with predefined settings. Select an
.xml file containing exported Kaspersky Anti-Virus settings during its installation to do it. This option is available for local installation, installation from command line prompt, and via Kaspersky Administration Kit (file path should be specified in Kaspersky Anti-Virus installation package).

Only one exported configuration file can be used during instalaltion.
You can export into a configuration file either all Kaspersky Anti-Virus settings, or settings of particular components.
When exporting all Kaspersky Anti-Virus settings, it saves general Kaspersky Anti-Virus settings, user account permissions, and settings of the following components:
- Real-time file protection;
- Script monitoring;
- On-demand-scan;
- Kaspersky Anti-Virus database and module update;
- Quarantine;
- Backup storage;
- Logs;
- Notifications;
- Trusted Zone;

Kaspersky Anti-Virus does not export group task settings.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus exports all passwords used by it, e.g. user account data used to execute tasks or establish connection with a proxy server. This data is exported in an encrypted form. It can later be imported only by Kaspersky Anti-Virus installed on the same host, unless it was reinstalled or upgraded. Kaspersky Anti-Virus installed on another host will not be able to import it. After importing settings on another host, you will have to manually enter all the passwords.
If a Kaspersky Administration Kit policy is active while exporting the settings, Kaspersky Anti-Virus exports the values applied through the policy.
To generate an
.xml configuration file, open Kaspersky Anti-Virus console, right-click a node to export its settings and invoke the command
Export settings. If you do this for the node
Kaspersky Anti-Virus, all its settings will be exported.

It is impossible to save settings of individual
on-demand-scan and
update tasks. These are exported by exporting the settings of a corresponding component.
