Scanning the computer for viruses and vulnerabilities is one of the most important tasks in ensuring the computer's security. The virus scan detects the spreading of malicious code, which has not been detected by the
malware protection for some reasons.
Full scan is a thorough scan of the entire system. The following objects are scanned by default:
- system memory
- programs loaded on startup
- system backup
- email databases
- hard drives, removable storage media and network drives.
Full scan can be started in one of the following ways:
In order to start a Full Scan task from the application context menu, perform the following actions:
- on the bottom right hand corner of the screen, right-click on the Kaspersky Small Office Security 2 icon
- select Full Scan

In order to start the
Full Scan task from the main application window, perform the following actions:
- open the main application window
- on the left hand part of the window, select Scan
- on the right hand part of the window, click on the Start Full Scan button
- wait until the process is complete.

The information when the task was stopped or completed is displayed in the main application window. The time reference is a link which leads to the
Full Scan window.

Full Scan task was started, stopped or completed and the list of detected threats with the link to the threat description.

The
full scan task can be run with the help of an
existing shortcut. In order to do this, just double-click the shortcut Full Scan.

The task procedure will be displayed in the open window Full Scan and in the main application window of Kaspersky Small Office Security 2 for Personal Computer.
