With Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 for Mac installed on my computer the message "Do you want the application "kav" to accept incoming network connections" may appear:
In order to eliminate the problem, it is required to disable the Mac OS X Firewall. In order to do this, perform the following actions:
- open the system preferences window; to do this, perform the following:
- on the upper Mac menu, click on the Apple icon
- select System Preferences from the open menu
or
- left-click on the System Preferences icon in the Dock
- on the System preferences window in the Personal section, select Security
- on the Security window, go to the Firewall tab
- click on the Stop button to disable Firewall
Once the required changes to preferences have been done, it is strongly recommended to close the Lock to protect settings from unauthorized access.
