February 21, 2011 Kaspersky Lab announces the release of Critical Fix 1 for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Microsoft ISA Server and Forefront TMG Standard Edition. The full version number is 8.0.3629.

It is necessary to upgrade version 8.0.3589 to 8.0.3629 to avoid having troubles with the application. Version 8.0.3589 is not supported starting March 10 2011, with antivirus database updates being unavailable for it.

Fixed

The error crippling the application after updating antivirus databases in case of a specifically generated black list of license keys;
The ISA/TMG Alerts sometimes failed sending mail notifications about detected malicious objects;
Web browser sometimes displayed a "KAV4ISA internal error code: 0x80004005" message instead of a blocked malicious object notification.
RPC over HTTP(S) traffic no longer blocked, e.g. in case of an Outlook Anywhere publication.

Installation

Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Microsoft ISA Server and Forefront TMG Standard Edition Crtical Fix 1 (version 8.0.3629) can be used either for initial installation or for upgrading the version 8.0.3589.

If there is another version installed on the server (not 8.0.3589), you should uninstall the application before installing the version 8.0.3629.
