You can block your mobile device by using the following functions of the Anti-Theft component:

• Lock & Locate
• SIM Watch
• Mugshot
• Alarm

In order to allow remote blocking of a smartphone, perform the following actions:

1. In the main window select Anti-Theft -> Settings.

    

2. In the Anti-Theft settings window check the following boxes:
   • Lock & locate to be able to block your mobile device once GPS-coordinates are received.
   • Mugshot to be able to make a photo of a person using your mobile device.

• SIM Watch and Lock when SIM card is replaced to enable the function of automatic mobile device block once the mobile device is switched on without your SIM card or with a new one. 

    

• Alarm. In this case your mobile device will be blocked once the Alarm function is enabled.

Now the option to block a smartphone remotely is enabled.

You can also specify the message to be displayed when the mobile device is locked. To do this, perform the following actions:

1. In the Anti-Theft settings window select Text when locked.
2. In the Text when locked window enter a text to be displayed on the locked mobile device. Tap the Save button.

    

A lost/stolen device with the enabled Anti-Theft functions can be blocked remotely from any other smartphone the following way:

• By sending an SMS command on the receiving device.
• By sending an SMS command from the program interface (if Kaspersky Mobile Security is installed on the smartphone from which the command is sent). In this case the command and the secret code are sent in an encrypted mode. An SMS message is received on the receiving device in stealth mode.

To be on the safe side, Kaspersky Lab experts recommend to send an SMS command from the Kaspersky Mobile Security interface.
