Applies to Kaspersky Small Office Security 2 for Personal Computer
In order to change the update mode for networked computers using Management Center from Kaspersky Small Office Security 2 for Personal Computer, perform the following actions:
- Open the main application window.
- Go to the Management Center tab.
- Click Management Console Configuration Wizard.
- In the Management Console Configuration Wizard on the Password protection tab:
- if the password is not set, then specify the password in the corresponding fields. In order the application does not request your password during one session, check the box Remember and do not request during the session. To go to the next step, click the Next button
- click the Next button if the password was specified earlier.
- In the wizard's window on the Search for computers tab, select network for remote control from the drop-down list. If you wish to hide computers which are not controlled (for example, Kaspersky Small Office Security 2 for Personal Computer is not installed on computers), then check the box Hide not controlled. Click the Next button to go to the next step
- In the wizard's window on the Update method tab, select the required update method:
- Select one computer as update source for other computers (recommended). If you select this mode, you are required to select the update source from the drop-down menu. That computer will be used to download anti-virus databases updates from Kaspersky Lab servers and update databases on other networked computers
- Allow each computer in my network to update its own databases from the Internet.
Click on the Next button to go to the next step.
- In the wizard's window on the Summary tab, make sure that all parameters are specified correctly and then click the Finish button
- Close the main application window.
