If Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010 / 2011 is installed on your computer and you would like to upgrade to Kaspersky Internet Security 2012, you should do the following:
- In an email message from the eStore click the link to download the distributive. If the link validity period has expired, download the distributive from the Kaspersky Lab site.
- In the File download window click Save.
- In the Save as window select the location to save the distributive (Desktop is the default location) and click Save.
When the file download is complete, click Close.
Uninstall
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010 / 2011.
Find and run the downloaded distributive (with the .exe extension), by left-clicking it.
- Follow the instructions of the Setup Wizard
- Restart your computer
- Activate Kaspersky Internet Security 2012.
If you activate Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 once you have installed it on top of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010 / 2011, license validity periods of two products are not summarized. You can purchase a new license for Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 via EStore or from our partners.
From Kaspersky Lab 2011 products you can easily migrate from one product to another. For example, you can quickly migrate from Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 to Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2012.
