To force MS Windows crash to generate a full memory dump:

  1. Make sure the system is configured to generate full memory dumps:

  2. Enable force generation of full memory dumps using a key shortcut. Download and extract the following archive:

  3. Run the extracted ManualDump_ON.reg file and click OK.

  4. Reconnect the keyboard or restart the computer.

  5. Reproduce the issue.

  6. While holding the right Ctrl key, press Scroll Lock twice.

  7. Wait for the dump file to generate and for the system to restart.

  8. Make sure the full memory dump has been successfully generated. By default, dump files are generated in the %systemroot%\MEMORY.DMP folder.

  9. Run the extracted ManualDump_OFF.reg file to disable force generation of full memory dumps using a key shortcut.

  10. Click OK.

  11. Restart the computer.

  12. Attach the generated files to your Technical Support request.

Information  It is necessary that you describe the issue in detail as well as the sequence of actions required to reproduce it.

We recommend creating an archive with the full memory dump file. This would greatly reduce the size of the file to be uploaded to the Kaspersky Lab FTP server.
