How to activate a trial version of Kaspersky Internet Security 2012?

In order to activate a trial version of Kaspersky Internet Security 2012, it is required to have an established Internet connection.

There are two methods to activate Kaspersky Internet Security 2012:

• Activate commercial version – a 20-digit activation code should be entered. Your computer should be connected to the Internet to activate the product. The Setup Wizard will download and install a key file automatically.

• Activate trial version. The Configuration Wizard will download and install a key file which is 30 days valid. Your computer should be connected to the Internet to activate the product. Trial version is fully-functioning, however when a trial period expires the anti-virus databases will not be updated. 

•  If the option Activate trial version is not available, it means the trial version a) was already installed or b) is installed now.

You can activate Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 using the following methods: 

• during the program installation
• from the application interface after installation 

1. How to activate commercial version of Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 during installation?  In order to activate a commercial version of the program, perform the following actions:

1. Make sure the system date is set correctly on your computer.
2. In the Activation of Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 window select Activate trial version.
3. Click the Next button, to continue with the installation process.
4. The activation wizard will connect with the Kaspersky Lab server and will download a literse key file.
5. Once a key file is obtained, an information window is displayed with the license type and its expiration date.
6. Click the Finish button.

2. How to activate commercial version of Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 after installation?  In order to activate the application from the main window, perform the following actions:

1. Make sure the system date is set correctly on your computer.
2. Open the main application window.
3. In the bottom right part of the window click the Insert your activation code here link.
4. In the Manage License window click the Activate the application button.
5. In the Activation of Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 window select Activate trial version.
6. Click the Next button, to continue with the installation process.
7. The activation wizard will connect with the Kaspersky Lab server and will download a license key file.
8. Once a key file is obtained, an information window is displayed with the license type and its expiration date.
9. Click the Finish button.
