Known issues of Mail Dispatcher in Kaspersky Small Office Security 2 for Personal Computer

Applies to Kaspersky Small Office Security 2 for Personal Computer

With Kaspersky Small Office Security 2 for Personal Computer installed on your PC and the Anti-Spam component enabled, Mail Dispatcher will not open when some messages are received if: 

  • sender’s address has earlier been added to the list of allowed addresses 
  • mail is received by encrypted connection, but connection scan is not configured in the program settings 
  • mail is accepted by a protocol different from POP3 
  • POP3 server does not support viewing of the mail headers. 

To manage the list of allowed addresses, do the following: 

  1. Open the main application window.
  2. In the right upper corner of the main application window click on the Settings button. 
  3. Go to the Protection tab.
  4. In the left part of the window select the Anti-Spam component. 
  5. In the right part of the window in the Security level section click the Settings button 
  6. In the Anti-Spam window on the Additional tab in the Incoming messages section make sure the option for Open Mail Dispatcher when receiving email through POP3 protocol is checked 
  7. On the tab Exact methods under Consider message as not spam click the Select button next to If it is from allowed sender 
  8. Edit the list of allowed senders to your email address. Either add trusted addresses to the list or delete from the list the addresses which require opening of the Mail Dispatcher 
  9. In the Anti-Spam window click the OK button
  10. In the window Settings click the OK button
  11. Close the main application window

    Information test@kaspersky.com is an example of an allowed address.

     

    In order Kaspersky Small Office Security 2 for Personal Computer scans incomming and outgoing emails via encrypted connections and the Mail Dispatcher opens automatically, enable scan of encrypted connections.
