How to enable/disable the use of iChecker and iSwift technologies in Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2012?

In Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2012 you can control the use of iChecker and iSwift technologies in the following components:

  • File Anti-Virus.
  • Full Scan.
  • Critical Areas Scan.
  • Custom Scan.

To enable / disable the use of iChecker and iSwift technologies:

Step 1. Open the main application window.

Step 2. In the upper-right corner of the main window, click Settings

Step 3. Then do the following: 

    • In the Settings window, in the Protection Center tab (to control the use of iChecker and iSwift technologies in the File Anti-Virus component)
      1. In the left part of the Settings window, select the File Anti-Virus section.
      2. To the right of the Security level section, click Settings...
      3. In the File Anti-Virus window, go to the Additional tab.
      4. In the Scan technologies section, check/uncheck the boxes next to the iSwift Technology and iChecker Technology options.
      5. In the lower-right corner of the window, click OK.

    • In the Settings window, in the Scan tab (to control the use of iChecker and iSwift technologies in the Full Scan, Critical Areas Scan, and Custom Scan components)
      1. In the left part of the Settings window, select the menu item depending on the task:
        • Full Scan.
        • Critical Areas Scan.
        • Custom Scan.
      2. To the right of the Security level section, click Settings...
      3. In the Full Scan/Critical Areas Scan/Custom Scan window, go to the Additional tab.
      4. In the Scan technologies section, check/uncheck the boxes next to the iSwift Technology and iChecker Technology options.
      5. In the lower-right corner of the window, click OK.

Step 3. In the Settings window, click ОK.

Step 4. Close the main application window.
