How to configure archive (compound files) scan settings
Archive types that can be scanned and cured by Kaspersky Anti-Virus version 6.0.4.x
Kaspersky Anti-Virus version 6.0.4.x detects and disinfects embedded malicious objects in the following archive types: RAR, ARJ, ZIP, CAB, LHA, JAR, ICE. It extracts the contents of an archive, disinfects/deletes infected objects and creates the archive again.
How Kaspersky Anti-Virus version 6.0.4.x processes archive types other that RAR, ARJ, ZIP, CAB, LHA, JAR, ICE
Kaspersky Anti-Virus version 6.0.4.x detects malware in other archive types (7z, HA, UUE, TAR, e.g.) but cannot disinfect or delete it. Kaspersky Anti-Virus version 6.0.4.x does not delete such archives automatically even when the options Disinfect and Delete if disinfection fails are enabled.
How to delete an archive other that RAR, ARJ, ZIP, CAB, LHA, JAR, ICE
Use the Delete archive link in the Infected object detected notification box to delete such archives:
