How to pause / resume Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows protection

Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows allows pausing the protection, i.e. disabling all the protection components for a while.

Information  Pausing/resuming the protection and control does not affect the scan and update tasks. If there is an established network connection at the moment you paused/resumed the protection, a disconnection notification will be displayed.

Pausing the protection and control
  • Right-click Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows system tray icon.

  • Select the Pause protection and control option.



  • The Pause protection window will open.



  • Select an option:

    • Pause for the specified time – the protection and control will be paused for a period of time indicated in the drop-down menu.

    • Pause until restart – the protection and control will be resumed after rebooting the system or restarting the application. Application autorun should be enabled.

    • Pause – you will have to resume the protection and control manually.

  • Regardless of the selected option, you can resume the protection and control manually at any time.

Resuming the protection and control
  • Right-click Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows system tray icon.

  • Select the Resume protection and control option.
