On November 8, 2011, Kaspersky Lab announces release of Critical Fix 2 Maintenance Pack 2 for Kaspersky Mobile Security 9 (version 9.4.28 (BlackBerry), version 9.4.104 (Symbian)).
Kaspersky Mobile Security 9.4.28 for BlackBerry-based mobile devices
Enhancements:
- Capability to update application versions has been added.
Kaspersky Mobile Security 9 (for BlackBerry OS) provides the following functionality to the user:
- capability to block unwanted incoming calls and SMS;
- capability to receive current phone number when the SIM card is changed;
- capability to block the device remotely in case it is lost or stolen;
- capability to delete personal information remotely in case the device is lost or stolen;
- capability to identify the phone location remotely;
- capability to send SMS commands to other devices with installed Kaspersky Mobile Security 9 to block the device remotely, delete data, identify phone location.
The application can be installed to the main memory of the mobile device only.
The Kaspersky Mobile Security 9 version for mobile devices with the BlackBerry operating system includes the following components:
- Call&SMS Filter;
- Anti-Theft.
The application has been tested on the following mobile devices:
- BlackBerry 8520 Curve;
- BlackBerry Bold;
- BlackBerry Pearl;
- BlackBerry Storm 9530;
- BlackBerry Torch 9800.
Kaspersky Mobile Security 9.4.104 for Symbian-based mobile devices
Enhancements:
- Operation under Symbian Anna operating system has been supported.
- Capability to update application versions has been added.
- Incompatibility with some fullscreen applications has been fixed (such as Angry Birds).
Kaspersky Mobile Security 9 (for Symbian OS) provides the following functionality to the user:
- file system scan for viruses or other malicious programs on user's demand or according to the schedule;
- anti-virus file scan when they are opened, saved or run;
- capability to disinfect infected files or delete them, if disinfection fails;
- anti-virus databases update by user's demand or according to the schedule (the Internet connection is required);
- capability to block unwanted incoming calls and SMS;
- capability to receive current phone number when the SIM card is changed;
- capability to block the device remotely in case it is lost or stolen;
- capability to delete personal information remotely in case the device is lost or stolen;
- capability to identify the phone location remotely;
- capability to send SMS to other devices with installed Kaspersky Mobile Security 9 to block the device remotely, delete data, identify phone location, the user's private information;
- device protection from network attacks via TCP/IP protocols;
- capability to store files in encrypted mode;
- capability to temporary hide information and events for confidential numbers selected by the user.
The application can be installed to the main memory of the mobile device only.
The Kaspersky Mobile Security 9 version for mobile devices with the Symbian operating system includes the following components:
