Kaspersky PURE 2.0 includes a special utility which allows creating a Rescue Disk. It is required when a computer is so damaged that the operating system or anti-virus solution fails to launch correctly.In such cases you can use the created Rescue Disk to detect and eliminate computer infections.
Rescue disk is a Linux-based .iso image which includes the following:
You can create the disk image (an .iso file) with up-to-date anti-virus databases and configuration files. A source image can be downloaded from Kaspersky Lab servers or copied from a local source.
If you purchased a box version of Kaspersky PURE 2.0, you can use the disk with the application distributive as a Rescue Disk. The process of booting from the disk with the distributive of Kaspersky PURE 2.0 is described in details in KB8015.

Before you record the Rescue Disk, perform the following actions:
then check the box Use existing Kaspersky Rescue Disk image and click the Next button
Before recording Rescue Disk, delete all data from the USB drive and format it using standard Microsoft Windows tools.
