On 15 December 2011 Kaspersky Lab announced the release of Maintenance Pack 3 for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.5 for Proxy Server (version 5.5.80).

Changes in version 5.5.80:
  • Updated antivirus kernel;
  • New settings:

    • MaxReqLengthAction. Actions for objects bigger than the maximum size set (MaxReqLength);
    • PartialResponseAction. Action when detecting a server response containing an object part;
    • PartialRequestAction. Action when detecting an object part request;
    • ReqModeServiceUrl. ICAP service URL for scanning ICAP request stream;
    • RespModeServiceUrl. ICAP service URL for scanning ICAP response stream.

  • Updated supported operating systems list;

  • Removed -x option for keepup2date component;
  • Fixed some issues.

Installation and upgrade

New installation

Use a command according to your OS type to install the application:

  • Linux/RPM:

    # rpm -i <package>.rpm

  • Linux/Debian (32 vit):

    # dpkg -i <package>.deb

  • Linux/Debian (64 bit):

    # dpkg -i --force-architecture <package>.deb

  • FreeBSD:

    # pkg_add <package>.tgz
Version 5.5 MP2 (5.5.62) can be upgraded using a package handling system available in your OS.


Known issues and solutions
  • Kaspersky Anti-Virus integration with Squid 3.1.6 is not supported.

  • In case of a Exception() Cannot create semaphore: No space left on device:28 Ipc::ShmLocker::ShmLocker() error message when attempting to restart Kaspersky Anti-Virus after a malfunction on FreeBSD, use the command ipcrm –W, and then ipcs -s to make sure there are no kluser semaphores left in the system.
