On the upper right hand part of the main application window of Kaspersky PURE 2.0 you can find the Settings button. If you click on the Settings button, the Settings window will open. Via the Settings window you can configure required application settings (for example, Web anti-Virus or Update settings).

How to open the Settings window

In order to open the Settings window in Kaspersky PURE 2.0, perform the following actions:

1. Open the main application window.
2. On the upper right hand part of the window, click on the Settings link.

OR

1. On the bottom right hand part of the screen (in the Taskbar notification area) right-click the Kaspersky icon.
2. Select Settings from the open context menu.

Description of the Settings window

The Settings window contains three segments:

• On the upper left hand part of the Settings window, you can select one of the following sections:
  • Protection.
  • Scan.
  • Update.
  • Password.
  • Additional.
• On the left hand part of the Settings window, you can select one of the following application component, task or another item that should be configured:
  • The Protection tab contains the following:
    • General settings.
    • Self-Defense.
    • File Anti-Virus.
    • Mail Anti-Virus.
    • Web Anti-Virus.
    • IM Anti-Virus.
    • Application Control.
    • System Watcher.
    • Firewall.
    • Proactive Defense.
    • Network Attack Blocker.
    • Anti-Spam.
    • Anti-Banner.
    • Threats and Exclusions.
  • The Scan tab contains the following:
    • General Settings.
    • Full Scan.
    • Critical Areas Scan.
    • Custom Scan.
    • Vulnerability Scan.
  • The Update tab contains the following:
    • Update Settings.
  • The Password tab contains the following:
    • General Settings.
  • The Additional tab contains the following:
    • Battery Saving.
    • Compatability.
    • Network.
    • Notifications.
    • Reports and Storages.
    • Feedback.
    • Gaming Profile.
    • Appearance.
    • Manage Settings.

• The right hand part of the window contains controls that you can use to configure the item selected in the left hand part of the window.
