In Kaspersky PURE 2.0 you can scan network traffic for viruses using the SSL protocol. You can find more detailed information why the encrypted connections technology is required in KB8082.
After installation of the certificate, SSL-traffic is scanned with the help of the Kaspersky Lab certificate. Automatic installation of the certificate functions only when working with the web-browsers Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. To scan encrypted connections in the web-browser Opera, install the Kaspersky Lab certificate manually.
