What is a notification
Notifications allow you get on-the-fly information about application operation and thus timely react to important events. By default
Kaspersky PURE 2.0 notifies you of all important events connected with the application operation the following ways:
- Pop-up messages in the taskbar notification area,
- Sound notifications.
You can also enable the email notifications option; this will allow
Kaspersky PURE 2.0 to notify you of events by email to the specified email address.
Regardless of whether the notifications delivery is enabled or disabled, information about events that occur in the operation of
Kaspersky PURE 2.0, is logged in the
application operation report.

How to configure notifications for different types of events
You can configure delivery of email notifications for different types of events. For this, perform the following actions:
- Open the main application window.
- In the upper right part of the window click the Settings links.
- In the Settings window on the Additional tab select Notifications.
- Make sure the Enable events notification option is enabled and click the Settings button.
- In the Notifications window check the events whose notifications you would like to receive using:
- Pop-up n notifications. For this, check the boxes in the Screen column.
- Sound notifications. For this, check the boxes in the Sound column.
- Email notifications. For this, check the boxes in the Email column (you will also need to configure sending notifications by email).
- In the Notifications window click the OK button.
- In the Settings window click the OK button.
- Close the main application window.

How to configure email notifications
To enable email notifications and to configure email settings for notifications delivery, perform the following actions:
- Open the main application window.
- In the upper right part of the window click the Settings link.
- In the Settings window on the Additional tab select Notifications.
- In the right part of the window, check the Enable email notifications box.
- Click on the Settings button.
- In the Email notification settings window that opens, specify the delivery settings.
- You can send a text message to the specified email address. For this click the Test button in the To section.
- To schedule notifications sending, in the Send mode section select the necessary option:
- Immediately when event occurs – a notification will be sent immediately when event occurs.
- By schedule – a notification is sent according to the defined schedule (to set a schedule click the Change button and in the Email notifications sending schedule window set a schedule).
- In the Email notification settings window click the OK button.
- In the Settings window click the OK button.
- Close the main application window.

How to enable sound notifications
To enable sound notifications, do the follwoing:
- Open the main application window.
- In the upper right part of the window click the Settings links.
- In the Settings window on the Additional tab select Notifications.
- In the right part of the window in the Audio notifications section, check the Enable audio notifications box.
- If you want to use default sounds of Microsoft Windows for your notifications, check the box Use Windows Default sound scheme.
- If you want to use Kaspersky PURE 2.0 sound scheme, uncheck the box Use Windows Default sound scheme .
- In the Settings window click the OK button.
- Close the main application window.
