On June 17, 2013, Kaspersky Lab releases a new patch H for Kaspersky Internet Security 2013.

Patch H is automatically installed once anti-virus databases of Kaspersky Internet Security version 13.0.1.4190 are updated.

Patch H eliminates the product crashes.

How to install Patch H:

In order to install Patch H, perform the following actions:

1. Run the databases update process.
2. Once the databases are successfully updated, restart your computer.
3. Once the system starts, open the main application window.
4. In the left lower corner of the main application window, click the Support link.
5. If Patch H is successfully installed, you will see the letter h in the Application version line.

Patch G

On April 22, 2013, Kaspersky Lab releases a new patch G for Kaspersky Internet Security 2013.

Patch G is automatically installed once anti-virus databases of Kaspersky Internet Security version 13.0.1.4190 are updated.

Patch G eliminates the following problems:

• Problem displaying plugins for Virtual keyboard and Kaspersky URL Advisor in Mozilla Firefox 19 and Google Chrome 25.
• Problem of the program hanging after performing rootkit scan.
• Problem connecting to SQLExpress 2008 with Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 installed.
• Problem connecting to Xbox via Windows Media Center.
• Problem of the system hanging when copying a folder or unpacking archive of the several gigabytes size.
• Some problems when working with Virtual keyboard.
• Some problems when working with Java software in Internet Explorer 10 (under Windows 8).
• Problem connecting to WD Essentials NAS storage with Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 running.

Patch F

On February 21, 2013, Kaspersky Lab releases a new patch F for Kaspersky Internet Security 2013.

Patch F is automatically installed once anti-virus databases of Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 version 13.0.1.4190 are updated.

Patch F eliminates the following problems:

• Problems saving scan settings to a file.
• Problems with keyboard and mouse after the application uninstallation.

Patch E

On December 21, 2012, Kaspersky Lab releases a new patch E for Kaspersky Internet Security 2013.

Patch E is automatically installed once anti-virus databases of Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 version 13.0.1.4190 are updated.

Patch E eliminates the following problems:

• Some issues of the Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 interface.
• Problems displaying Virtual Keyboard, Block dangerous websites and Kaspersky URL Advisor plugins in Mozilla Firefox 18.
• Problems saving Kaspersky Internet Security user settings after OS rebooting.
• Problems starting Kaspersky Internet Security after rebooting OS Windows.
• Problems printing files while working in the Safe Money mode.

Patch D

On December 3, 2012, Kaspersky Lab releases a new patch D for Kaspersky Internet Security 2013.

Patch D is automatically installed once anti-virus databases of Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 version 13.0.1.4190 are updated.

Patch D eliminates the following problems:

• Some issues of the Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 interface.
• Problems displaying Virtual Keyboard, Block dangerous websites and Kaspersky URL Advisor plugins in Mozilla Firefox 16, 17.
• Problems starting Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 after anti-virus databases update and computer restart.
• Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 crashes after Parental Control settings loading.

Patch C

On November 8, 2012, Kaspersky Lab releases a new patch C for Kaspersky Internet Security 2013.

Patch C is automatically installed once anti-virus databases of Kaspersky Internet Security version 13.0.1.4190 are updated.

Patch C eliminates the following problems:

• Some issues of the Kaspersky Internet Security interface.
• Files printing problems in the Safe Money mode.

Patch A

Improved and new functions in Kaspersky Internet Security 2013:

• Support for Microsoft Windows 8 has been added.
• Postponed launch of Kaspersky Internet Security at the startup of the operating system has been implemented in order to reduce the operating system's booting time.
• A module for blocking dangerous websites has been added to Web Anti-Virus, which replaces an already loaded suspicious or phishing website with a page showing a danger warning in case the page's status is defined after it is loaded.
• The application's impact on the operating system's performance has been reduced; the amount of computer resources consumed by the application has also been reduced. Particularly, the application's impact on the booting and closing time of the operating system has been reduced, as well as on the time expended by the system for switching to waiting mode and sleep mode and on the speed of downloading files and loading web pages on the Internet.
• A Microsoft Design Language (Start screen) style application named Kaspersky Now has been released for Microsoft Windows 8. If you have Kaspersky Internet Security installed on your computer, Kaspersky Now displays the current protection status of your computer and allows running the main components of Kaspersky Internet Security, such as Scan, Update, Parental Control, and others.
• Improved removal of incompatible applications during installation. Incompatible software detection is performed based on a list of incompatible applications. The list is updated every time during Kaspersky Internet Security update. In order to avoid conflicts during installation Kaspersky Internet Security offers to remove the incompatible software automatically.
• Treatment of active infections during installation improved. In some cases malware on the computer prevents the installation of anti-virus products, Kaspersky Internet Security automatically downloads a dedicated utility and treats the system’s active infections before completing the installation process.
• The Exploit prevention functionality is added to the System Watcher component. It is common for malicious programs to exploit vulnerabilities in popular applications to try to gain control over the computer, steal your personal data, etc.
• Compatibility of URL Advisor and Virtual Keyboard with browsers has been enhanced. Kaspersky Internet Security fully supports recent versions of the following web browsers:

• The  Safe Money functionality has been implemented. Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 includes significantly improved protection of financial operations via online banking and payment systems (e.g., PayPal, WebMoney, etc.) and while shopping online.
• Virtual Keyboard functionality has been improved: now you can open the virtual keyboard by clicking the element that is automatically activated in the input field on the web sites.
• The Secure Keyboard functionality is added to protect your personal information entered on web sites from keyloggers.
• Anti-Phishing protection has been improved. Kaspersky Internet Security integrates an enhanced updatable anti-phishing module. In particular, heuristic analysis has been improved, which checks to see if a URL has the characteristics typical of a phishing website.
• To receive access to your personal information, cybercriminals often resort to fake (phishing) sites. To make protection against visiting phishing websites much more effective, Kaspersky Internet Security integrates an enhanced updatable anti-phishing module. In particular, heuristic analysis has been improved, which checks to see if a URL has the characteristics typical of a phishing website.
• Technology to protect against the Duqu Trojan and similar threats. The main aim of Duqu and similar malware is to install itself unnoticed on a system and steal personal data. Kaspersky Internet Security blocks intrusion of a system code into system processes, often when loading a system (i.e. before an antivirus program starts running). The product does not allow the key parts of the code to be implemented, effectively neutralizing it.
• The enhanced Parental Control module incorporates new and improved protection for children using your PC. For instance, rules can be updated to determine what categories of websites should be checked, enabling more intensive control of a child’s access to websites with unwanted content. The standard database update mechanism is used to update these rules. 
• Anti-Spam protection technology has been improved. A new version of the Anti-Spam module is integrated into Kaspersky Internet Security ; the new module version provides more secure filtering of unwanted messages and is optimized to show reports about detected spam messages.  
• The impact of the application on the system performance has been optimized for the most common online user scenarios: launching a web browser and other programs, using the Internet and etc.
• Reduced battery drain for laptops. Kaspersky Internet Security reduces battery drain by postponing resource-intensive tasks, thereby increasing the battery life of your laptop.
• Faster download of updates. Kaspersky Internet Security has transferred parts of its antivirus databases into the cloud (Kaspersky Security Network) and added further internal optimization. This helps significantly reduce the volume of downloaded traffic and speeds up the update process.

New in interface:

• Interface of the main window has been improved to provide even quicker and easier access to basic tasks, such as scanning, problem solving etc. In addition, a new keypad control option is available .
• In Kaspersky Internet Security the ability to check the reputation of a file has been improved to more clearly display this information.
• Viewing Kaspersky Lab news has become more convenient. The news allows you to get the information about events occurring in the company, auctions and discounts. In Kaspersky Internet Security news may include text messages, video and graphic materials.
• When a license expires, Kaspersky Internet Security informs the user which product’s functions stopped working.

To install Kaspersky Internet Security, perform the following actions:
