This FAQ is a step-by-step guide to installing Kaspersky Security Center 9.0 on a cluster.

System configuration

Let's assume the following network configuration:

  • There is a SC9cluster cluster installed with IP 10.10.10.10 consisting of two nodes:
    • AVNode1;
    • AVNode2;
  • There is a KSCGroup group with S disk for Kaspersky Security Center 9.0 on the cluster;
  • Storage (S);
  • A separate Microsoft SQL server named SQL1;
  • Administrator's user account is kltest\entadm.

Installing

  • Start Kaspersky Security Center 9.0 setup wizard on the AVnode1 node;

    Select Cluster (installation to all cluster nodes) on the Type of installation on cluster step;

  • Set a virtual server name in the next step. Its name should not coincide with the  SC9cluster cluster name. SC999, for example.

  • In the Information about the virtual Server step, select Public and set virtual server network address. It should not coincide with the SC9cluster cluster name.

  • Select the KSCGroup group in the Cluster group step.

  • In the Cluster data storage step, indicate a storage for installing virtual Server.

  • Add the second node, AVNode2.

  • Enter a user account for the Administration server service.

  • Choose database type in the Database server step. Be advised that cluster installation does not allow selecting Microsoft SQL 2005 Express for installing on the same server.

  • Choose server and database name in the Connection settings step.

  • Choose authentication type for database connection.

  • Select a shared folder to store installation packages and updates.

  • Set ports for secure and insecure connections. These can be changed later.

  • Indicate Administration server's name.

  • Select plugins to install and accept the license agreement.

Wait for the installation to complete.
