Once Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 1.1 is installed, we recommend configuring its automatic execution upon ESXi hypervisor startup.

How to configure automatic Secure virtual machine (SVM) execution:

  • Start Vmware vShere Client and establish a connection with vCenter server.

  • Select the VMware ESXi hypervisor hosting the required SVM in the left frame of the console.

  • Go to the Configuration tab in the right frame.

  • Select Virtual Machine Srartup / Shutdown in the Software section.

  • Click the top-right Properties link to open the Virtual Machine Startup and Shutdown window.

  • Enable the Allow virtual machines to start and stop automatically with the system option.

  • Select the SVM in the Startup Order table (ksv-192-168-10-20 in our case) and move it to the Automatic Startup category using the Move Up button.

  • Configure other startup settings if necessary.

Also you can select a secure virtual machine and click Edit to reconfigure the default settings (Default Startup / Shutdown Delay).

  • Click OK twice.
