How to restore Kaspersky Security Center 9 from a backup copy in case of a cluster installation

In order to restore Kaspersky Security Center 9 on a cluster:

  • Make sure to have [KLGROUP]_kladminserver_cluster in active state, i.e. with Online status.


  • Select the node housing [KLGROUP]_kladminserver_cluster in the Current Owner field.
  • Open [KLGROUP] properties, and go to the Registry replication tab in the KLGROUP_kladminserver_cluster Properties box.
  • Select the SOFTWARE\KasperskyLab\Components\34_cluster key in the Root Registry Key field and click Remove.


  • Click OK in the KLGROUP_kladminserver_cluster Properties box.
  • Restore Kaspersky Security Center 9 from a backup copy.
  • Once restored, make sure the resource is still on the same node as it was before deleting the registry key. Move it if necessary.
  • Open [KLGROUP]_kladminserver_cluster properties, and click Add on the Registry replication tab.
  • Create a [KLGROUP]_kladminserver_cluster key:
    • For 32 bit OS - SOFTWARE \KasperskyLab\Components\34_cluster 
    • For 64 bit OS - SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\KasperskyLab\Components\34_cluster
  • Click OK in the KLGROUP_kladminserver_cluster Properties box.
  • Connect the Administration console to the server.
