Applies to Kaspersky Internet Security

If the error “You have exceeded the maximum number of application copies that can be installed with one license” is generated when you try to activate Kaspersky Internet Security, then do the following:

1. Check the number of computers your license covers

Check on how many computers the current activation code can be installed. For this, click the Licensing link from the main application window.

The number of computers stated in the Licensing window must coincide or be less, than number of computers on which Kaspersky Internet Security is installed and activated by the current activation code. For example, if you have a valid license for 1 computer, then you cannot use the same license in order to activate two or more computers.

2. Increase licenses number

If the number of computers which can be activated by your license does not coincide (is less) with the number of computers which you want to activate by the license, then you can increase the number of computers which can be activated by the same activation code via E-Store or by contacting our partners.

3. Contact Kaspersky Lab Technical Support

If the number of computers on which the activation code has been activated coincides or is less than displayed in the product window, then you probably have become a victim of fraud. In order to resolve the problem, contact Kaspersky Lab Technical Support service via My Account. In the request give the following information:

  • Date and place of purchase
  • Activation code/ license number
  • Info about the owner: name, surname, e-mail address
